Hopes. Dreams. Visions. Personally, I have no shortage of “things I want to do” – my bucket list is very healthy – but this is quite different than “hoping well”. Making plans and setting goals is a worthwhile endeavor, but those are ultimately dependent on my ability to organize and execute my own ideas.
Having hope means that I am trusting my future to the hands of someone greater than me who can do things in and through me that are greater than I might ever dare imagine. I didn’t have an “h” when I started this series, but as I looked at the list, it was full of great things for me to do. Hope, on the other hand, requires me to do nothing but intentionally place my faith and trust outside of myself.
